Long before dating, we were the MHHS Homecoming Duke and Duchess our sophomore year of high school. We actually went to this dance as friends! (This was actually 10/17/14, but The Knot will only let us go back 10 years.)

During senior year of high school, we went to the Sadie Hawkins dance (Elizabeth asked Pierce). Again, as friends! We dressed as Taco Bell Diablo hot sauce packets and Pierce decided to do a little foreshadowing.

We went to senior prom together! We were still friends at this point, but started dating 5 days later.

After graduating from high school, we went to Maui with Pierce’s family. We actually celebrated our one month anniversary there!

We moved to York, NE and started classes at York College!

We danced awkwardly on stage as the “Homecoming King and Queen” for Songfest (go Kyodai and Delta), which won us the Cutest Couple Award!

We started our sophomore year together at York College. Fun fact: we were the only 2 students in our organic chemistry class this year!

We both won the Harold Tandy Math & Science Scholar Award! Our names are forever on a plaque in Sack Hall.

We graduated from York College, both as summa cum laude! Pierce got his BS in Biology and Elizabeth got her BS in Chemistry with minors in Math and Biology.

This was the start of long distance. Pierce moved to Pocatello, ID for his first year of dental school. Elizabeth moved to Boise, ID to start graduate school.

We moved Pierce to Council Bluffs, IA for his remaining 3 years of dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE.

We went back to Hawaii! This time we were in Oahu.

Pierce was inducted into the MHHS Athletic Hall of Fame because of his outstanding achievements in his wrestling career in both high school and college!

We visited Portland, OR while Pierce was there for an oral surgery externship.

We visited Fresno, CA while Pierce was there for an oral surgery externship.

We got engaged in Hailey, ID on New Year’s Day! Pierce surprised Elizabeth by making her think that they were taking family photos with his family, but had her family also come to Hailey and proposed!

Pierce graduated from Creighton University with his DDS! He matched with Carle for his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, so moved to Champaign, IL soon after this.

Elizabeth defended her dissertation!

We now live in Champaign, IL with our cute pup, Chomps!
